The motivation for runs has seriously been lacking lately. I’m not sure if I burned myself out with the running…but every day it gets harder to head out. But once I do, of course, I feel much better. A motivating factor lately are the new shoes I got! It feels so good to finally run in shoes that don’t squish my freakishly long toes!
I’ll be back later with a post on motivation for running. I’ve been thinking about signing up for a half marathon in Ft. Worth…so I definitely need that motivation! If any of you have ways to get motivated please let me know!! ๐
Back to today’s run. I grabbed my gear and set out for a 40 minute run. Here were my stats:
- Ran 5.03 miles
- 40:33 min/sec
- At 8:02 pace
- Burned 435 calories
It was a pretty good run. My legs were feeling tired and heavy..probably from the Crossfit yesterday..but overall, not too shabby. I got back and did plank for 1 minute, 3 times.

After planks, I foam rolled my IT band about 15 times on each side. Overall, it was a pretty good day for a workout. Later today, we went out and shot the shotgun Cliff got me for my birthday!

I did not grow up around guns…so this is all very new to me. I was definitely intimidated by the shotgun at first (as any sane person would be) but after handling them a few times…I’m starting to feel more comfortable.
I’m not sure I could shoot an animal…..but shooting these clay pigeons is actually a lot of fun!
