First Valentine’s Day

admin · February 14, 2011 · 4 Comments

How could I do a post today and not mention that it’s my first Valentine’s Day with my husband! That’s not exactly true…we’ve celebrated Valentine’s Day together for the past 6 years….but it’s our first as a married couple! Not that I’m expecting big changes because of that (not that I need any changes either). But it’s just crazy how fast the time goes by. This time last year we were still planning a wedding. It was something I thought of every day whether it was checking wedding blogs, reading magazines, books, etc. Planning was a huge part of our lives!

The week after the wedding was a bit of an emotional roller coaster for me. I was so happy to be married, but couldn’t believe it was over. What people tell you is true, your wedding day will fly by. It definitely did. But it was such an incredible weekend, neither one of us could have asked for more.

So, in celebration of love and my husband, I’ll share some pictures from the past six years. I look forward to many many more Valentine’s Days together. Remaining creative on gifts is going to be a challenge…

Here’s one of our first pictures together in Malibu, California. We met there working as camp counselors at a summer camp.

In Napa a couple years back

We were long distance for a couple years-he was in Northern California and I was in Arizona. This picture was from one of my visits. We had to go to San Francisco every time I came to town!

Lots of birthdays celebrated

After almost 6 years….we were engaged in August 2009.

Finally, this past November, we were married in Arizona.

We’ve shared some great experiences together and I know we’ll have many more.

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! I hope you feel loved by friends, family, and yourself.

Y’all are such a beautiful couple! And I love that you’ve been together for so many years. This is my first Valentine’s Day married to Billy and it’s pretty awesome to have a forever Valentine. I hope y’all have a great day! We’re just staying in cooking dinner tonight. And eating chocolate. ๐Ÿ™‚
