1 Week.

admin · September 14, 2011 · 7 Comments

So, I’ve been a little MIA the past few days..sorry about that. We had a great time in Chicago; the wedding was amazing! It was great seeing old friends and meeting new people. I love weddings, don’t you? How can you not? They’re such happy, fun occasions…open bars don’t hurt either.

Anyway, this next week is pretty crazy for us! A week from today we’re moving to Colorado. Of course, we have to stop in Texas first to get our stuff out of a storage unit, then drive a U-Haul to Vail. Moving around a lot definitely keeps things interesting.

We also have a wedding this weekend and most importantly….the Boston Marathon is open for registration!

Not technically for me unfortunately. They changed the registration rules for 2012 so they’re giving priority to people with times 20 minutes, 10 minutes, and 5 minutes below their qualifying times. So, for my age group, the qualifying time was 3:40 hr/min.

I ran the Eugene marathon at 3:35:46,ย 46 seconds too long! How brutal is that?

Technically, I did qualify that’s what’s so annoying about the whole thing.

Who knows though, maybe I’ll still get in. At this point, I’m just hoping and preying it doesn’t fill up by the 19th. I’m expecting the worse, but hoping for the best.

I am moving near Leadville, Colorado…maybe I’ll just give the Ultra 100 a try instead? ๐Ÿ™‚

How pathetic does Boston sound compared to that craziness?

I don’t think Boston (or any marathon) can seem pathetic! Craziness is the perfect word to describe Ultras — I cannot imagine ever doing one!

WOW! YOU ARE FAST! You qualified!!! For the most part. That is awesome! Seriously! Be proud!

And Colorado is wonderful. I’m so jealous you’re moving there! Lowest obesity rate in the United States. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hey lady! Congrats on that finish – you should be so proud of yourself. and OMG can’t believe Jordan is married! I’d love to hear about the wedding.. I bet it was beautiful.

What prompted the move to CO? My best friend from school lives in Denver so if you are looking for some new gal pals, LMK!

    xoxo

You are a BOSTON qualifier! That is AWESOME! I HATE that you were 46 seconds from the 5 minute group. That is SO frustrating! You are awesome! You should feel so proud of yourself!
