Well, run number 1 is down!! It wasn’t too bad actually. Honestly, it never really is. The hardest part is definitely getting out the door. The cold weather just sounds awful so it’s something I don’t look forward to. Today (of course) happened to be overcast and really chilly-I swear every other day is sunny! But I forced myself outside anyway.
It was only a 3 mile run so I figured I could do it. Of course, I didn’t take my own advice, I ended up running around 4:30 which is right before the sun goes down. Oops. Here were today’s stats:
Boston Marathon Training: Week 1
- Distance: 3.02 miles
- Time: 27:01
- Pace: 8:54 min/sec
- Calories: 262
- Deer Sightings: 0
These stats are estimates given from my Nike Plus on my Ipod. I wouldn’t be surprised if the calories were a little exaggerated, but I’m not too worried about those.
Everything felt pretty good. The cold air gets to me sometimes and makes me want to cough but it wasn’t too bad today. My muscles felt tired afterwards which I guess is a good thing. I think it’s supposed to snow tomorrow and the next day so my training days might be mixed up a bit!
I’m going to Arizona this weekend so it’ll be nice to run outside where it will absolutely be sunny (watch, I probably just jinxed it) and probably in the 60’s-perfect weather!
Day 1=done! 🙂
