I’m actually 30 weeks pregnant now..can you believe it? Only 10 more! It’s sinking in now that this is happening and it’s happening very soon…crazy.
Anyway, I feel pretty good for the most part. I have little aches and pains here and there along with some nausea but nothing terrible. I have noticed I’m becoming more swollen in my hands and feet which is lovely. My shoes are suddenly feeling very snug! I don’t think the heat helps…
Here’s my 29 week picture!
Apparently 29 weeks is the size of an acorn squash..but I swear butternut squash are bigger than acorn right? Sometimes I don’t really get the fruit/veggie comparisons…
How far along? 30 weeks pregnant
Total weight gain: At the last Doc’s appointment, I had gained a total of 19 pounds. We’re going again this next week so I’m betting I’ve gained another 2 pounds or so?
Maternity clothes? Um yes. I can’t deal with non-maternity clothes.
Stretch marks? Nope.
Sleep: It’s been pretty good I think. I get up a number of times to use the bathroom and I also get hip pain for some reason which wakes me up. I miss sleeping on my back!
Best moment this week: Hiccups! I’m pretty sure she’s been having the hiccups now regularly. It’s kind of like this little tapping inside my belly but it’s a consistent tapping just for a little bit so I’m thinkin’ hiccups. Isn’t that weird?
Miss Anything? We went to a fair a couple days ago and I was dying for a hot dog! I’m sure it would have been fine, but we’re not really supposed to eat hot dogs so I passed. I’m definitely missing turkey sandwiches at lunch time (no cold cuts unless they’re steaming hot).
Movement: All the time! I love it.
Food cravings: I really haven’t had too many cravings..I’m kind of disappointed! I was looking forward to weird food pairings :). Every now and then I get a serious craving for something but it usually passes quickly.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing in particular. I have been feeling nauseous most days only in the morning for a bit. It’s so weird because I wasn’t really that sick in the first trimester but suddenly now I’m feeling sick..It comes on in the morning then usually disappears. A couple days ago though I thought I was going to throw up but I didn’t. No fun!
Gender: GIRL!
Labor Signs: Nope.
Belly Button in or out? In…there’s really nothing there to pop out.
Wedding rings on or off? Off. My fingers are rather plump these days.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Symptoms: Pretty swollen, Braxton Hicks contractions, some other stuff that’s too much information :).
Looking forward to: Our last doctor’s appointment at this clinic is next week! After that, we start going to the hospital for appointments every 2 weeks!
Exercise: I’ve been trying to walk most days either outside or on the treadmill. If it’s on the treadmill, I add some inclines to make it harder. I’ve also been lifting weights regularly to stay strong!! One thing I’m trying to focus on lately is stretching. I feel like if I’m nice and limber (which I won’t be) labor might be easier? I have no clue what I’m talking about..clearly. I’ve attempted yoga but it’s hard at this stage!! Trying plank with an extra 20 pounds all in front is somewhat difficult!
Things have been good though-no complaints and no complications as of now. I’ve been trying to film my belly move with my phone so I can have that image forever..it’s so cool :).
I’m not sure it’s official, but I also feel like I’m getting into that nesting stage. I suddenly can’t get enough of pinning ideas for the homes and searching for houses. I started watching HGTV’s Design Star too. I’ve never been into interior design or home improvements…but suddenly it’s all I can think about. I daydream about interior design. My new fantasy apparently.
Is it so much to ask to have a tub like this?
Anyway, I hope you all have a great weekend! We’re heading to the Rocky Mountain National Park tomorrow, assuming the fires don’t get in the way. I’m sure you’ve all heard about these Colorado fires which are out of control lately..it’s a little scary because it is crazy dry here, windy, and hot. Not good conditions for fires. We actually had one break out here yesterday from lightening but by this morning, it was contained.
Have a great weekend!
By the way, I did a guest post for Lindsay over at the Lean Green Bean, check it out if you want a hard core workout :).

You are too cute! That’s funny you mentioned hiccups. My BFF had them terribly when she was in her 3rd trimester.

I was never one to want so much hot dogs and turkey but gosh oh gosh I want them now!!! My doctor said i could eat the cold cuts but honestly i can’t bring myself to do it. i am too scared. she said pasteurized goat cheese was fine so i am doing that but i really miss sandwiches. i need some good food ideas seriously, let me know if you have any.
