Hey guys! I have been the worst blogger ever in the history of bloggers-sorry!
To be honest, I’ve been tired lately and the last things I’ve wanted to do were cook or workout. So basically, I had zero material for the blog. This past week I was actually out of town-in San Diego (Coronado) to be exact! It was pretty awesome. It felt great just to sit on the beach and read..even though I got severely sunburned..oops.
Bump pic!
By the way, I read 50 Shades of Grey….holy dirty! My mom was reading it on the beach..I do not approve. It’s too dirty for her! Now my grandma wants to read it….
Anyway, San Diego was awesome..like usual. Now that I’m back home-for good until baby- I feel like I have quite a bit of stuff to get done! I already did some shopping for essentials like diapers, wipes, etc. now I just need to do some laundry and put the baby seat in..oh and hospital bag would be good too. I’m going on 35 weeks so I still have 5 more weeks but if she came early, we want to be prepared!
The week before I went to San Diego I did pretty good when it comes to working out. While on vacation, my main goal was to at least go for walks on the beach which I did. Today, I hit the gym again with a pretty good arm workout-pregnant or not!
Arm Sculpting Workout
- 21’s- 8lb. weights
- Shoulder press- 15 reps with 10lb. weights
- Lateral Raises- 15 with 5lb. weights.
- Tricep Kickbacks- 15 with 10lb. weights
- Hammer Curls- 15 reps with 8lb. weights
- Reverse Fly’s- 15 reps with 5lb. weights
- Scaption- 15 reps with 5lb. weights
- Upright Rows- 15 reps with 8lb. weights
- 21’s- 8lb weights
I went through this twice and I was feelin’ a burn! If I had a little more time, I probably would have tried for 3 times! It felt good to get back into lifting weights though. As long as everything goes well, I’m planning on working out up until the baby comes.
While I was gone, our garden went nuts! We’re growing zucchini, cucumber, beets, carrots, cantaloupe, kale, spaghetti squash, broccoli, peas, and strawberries. The zucchini are out of control. Check out this monster:
It’s seriously so big..it looks like a bat.
If you have any zucchini recipes you’d like to share with me-please do!! We have this bad boy and like, 6 others…zucchini overload. I’m thinking I need to make some breads and muffins…
We also have beets. This weekend I might attempt to can beets. I’ve never canned anything-it sounds so intimidating! I love pickled beets though so if I can pull it off, that’d be great (without staining everything we own).
Any zucchini recipes? Have you ever canned anything before? Have you read 50 Shades?
