We didn’t technically do another Crossfit yesterday, but I made up a workout that I think would make Crossfit proud. After we were finished, I actually thought we could have made it harder…but it still could pass for an “easy” day Crossfit.
Our gym has a mini track inside of it so we incorporated some running into the routine. We set up 2 stations: one was biceps and the other was triceps. I started on triceps so I did ten reps of skull crushers on a swiss ball, then ran around the track as fast as I could, then moved onto biceps. For biceps, we just did regular bicep curls then another run around the track.
So each set consisted of triceps, run, biceps, and another run. We did the entire thing ten times so we actually ran around the track twenty times! We did 10 reps each time so overall performed 100 reps of bicep curls and skull crushers! Not bad!
It was almost impossible towards the end to complete a skull crusher correctly. 100 of those are not easy! I used ten pound weights for the bicep curls and the skull crushers…and that was plenty! I maybe could have added more weight to the bicep curls, but I didn’t :).
It was a pretty quick, but challenging workout. It only took us about 30 minutes to complete it! If you don’t have a track in your gym or a treadmill handy you could do 10 burpees or lunge jumps in between the arm workouts. I think we could have added 1 more exercise into the routine too, maybe an ab or back one?
If you need a quick workout though, this was a good one!
This morning I got up and went to an abs class, Hard Core, because that’s what I am :). Then ran 20 minutes on the treadmill. This weekend I think we’re going to try a spin class. My husband actually wants to, so I’m definitely up for it! I’ve taken them before and they are not easy! My buns are always burnin’ by the time the class is over. It’ll be a nice change of pace from the running. I need to find some other form of cardio besides running because I feel like my body is pretty used to it by now so it’s not as challenging. I’m sure spinning will do the trick!
What are your favorite type of workout classes? Any suggestions on really tough ones?

DEFINITELY add spin to the mix – I compare it to running (cardio-wise) but on a bike and no impact to those knees. Love that your husband is into it too – mine loves it!
