I don’t know if you guys know this or not, but my husband and I are gypsies. We like to keep things interesting and move every few months. Who wants to get tied down in one spot? Not this girl (laying on a tiny bit of sarcasm).
We are finally leaving the Cleve. It’s been a fun couple of months and we actually ended up staying here longer than originally planned. Ultimately, we just don’t want to end up this far away from our families (on the west coast), so we’re slowly making our way back towards that part of the country. Up next? Colorado.
In the past year we’ve gone from Chicago, to Dallas, to Plano, to Cleveland, now to the Vail area. It’s kind of insane when I really think about so I choose not to. Even though moving can, and is, a huge pain in the behind, it’s also been a pretty neat experience. We’ve had the chance to see so much of the country and I guess this is the best time to do it since it’s just us two.
Colorado probably sounds random, but we’re moving there because we actually have a place to stay. My husband’s parents have a cabin there so guess who’s movin’ in?? It’s technically in Eagle, Colorado which is basically right in the middle of ski country. Vail is about 25 minutes away, and Breckinridge and Aspen about an hour or so. Oh and in case we want a change of ski scenery, Telluride is only 4 hours away…road trip! Also, the famous Leadville is an hour away…100 mile ultra marathon anyone??
Anyway, we’re getting our ski passes and heading out there in a month. I’m pretty excited to live in Colorado. I feel like there is so much to do especially for people who love the outdoors. Luckily, I’ve lived in Chicago so I already have my 20 pound North Face jacket and ski boots.

We’ll miss the Cleve, but we’ll look back on it as a great experience. I never thought I’d live in Ohio, let alone Texas, so ya never know what life will throw at you.
So now you all have a good excuse to come to Vail, come ski with me!
I’ve tried snowboarding so many times and I am just terrible at it. I’ve been taken down a mountain on the back of a snow mobile because I literally couldn’t do it anymore…my ass hurt that bad. I’ll give it a shot again though; it looks so fun! As of now, I am definitely a skier.

WOW! I thought I moved a lot, but you totally have me beat! I agree that moving is excited. We have been in Bethlehem for an entire year and I am getting stir crazy for the next adventure! I figure that since we have no kids right now, this is the perfect time to discover many places!

Yay! Colorado is such a beautiful place. I know you’re going to love living there! I think it’s great that y’all have had the opportunity to live so many places. Like you said – better now while it’s just the 2 of you. 🙂
OMG YAY Colorado! You’ll love it! I looove to snowboard and Colorado has some of my favorite mountains, and it’s a total exercisers dream there!
I think it would be awesome to constanly keep moving and trying out new cities and states!! Good luck to you in Colorado 🙂

Woohoo!!! You will love it so much! I am so jealous, I always wanted to end up somewhere out there, not sure if it will ever happen 🙁 Katie may end up living back out there. You guys will have to meet up if she does! I dont think she woild hesitate heading to the mountains for a visit! I bet your mom is super excited to havenyou closer to home!
