So, I’m officially obsessed with Pinterest. In case you’re not sure what it is, it’s basically a place where you can gather boards of things you like or want. For example, I have a recipe board where I pin recipes I’d like to try. I also have a fitness board with potential workouts, enter: the 1,000.
This is one of those workouts that I completely underestimated. I just assumed it would take some time, but maybe I’d throw in a run too because it might be easy. I was wrong.
This took me about an hour and was very challenging. V-Crunches are really hard for me for some reason. They always make my hip flexors sore, not my abs, so they’re a little frustrating. Here’s exactly what I did:
- 10 Push Ups
- 50 Squats with Leg Lift- 50 on both sides!
- 50 Side Lunges with Knee Lift- I did 25 on both legs. When I lunged to the left for example, I pushed off my left foot bringing my knee towards my chest and turnining my torso towards the left, so you get a little crunch in your abs.
- 10 Push Ups
- 50 Side Plank Hip Lifts- 25 on both sides. These are sometimes also called dips. While in side plank, just dip your hips down to the ground and back up.
- 50 Side Crunches- 25 on each side.
- 10 Push Ups
- 50 Heel Lifts holding weights. I held 8lb. weights.
- 50 Sumo Squat Pulses. These burn like crazy!
- 10 Push ups
- 50 Bicycle Crunches-50 on both sides.
- 50 V-Up Crunches. Okay, I only did 25. I meant to come back and do more but forgot. These are hard!
- 10 Push Ups
- 50 Small Hops Forward and Back, keeping low. I’m not sure if I did these right, but they were really hard so I’m guessing it was okay. I stayed in a squat the entire time and just jumped forward and back, that was 1 rep. These took me a while and burned the buns!
- 50 Elevated Bridges. I just did 50 regular bridges.
- 10 Push Ups
- 50 Supermans, hold the last one for 5 seconds.
- 50 Mountain Climbers. I counted one rep as both legs coming forward.
- 10 Push Ups
- 50 Inner Thigh Pulses on the right leg.
- 50 Inner Thigh Pulses on the left leg.
- 10 Push Ups
- 50 Kneeling Side Leg Lifts- 25 on both leg. Basically, these are side lying hip extensions or side leg lifts. Your outer thigh will be on fire!
- 50 Curtsy Lunges holding 8lb. weights. I did 50 on each leg so these took some time too.
- 10 Push Ups
- 50 Second Plank on Elbows.
- 50 Second Wall Sit. By the time this rolled around, my legs were shaking!
- 10 Push Ups
It was a tough workout! Since I don’t belong to a gym now, I’ve been trying to find hard workouts I can do at home. I just ordered Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 dvd and secretly really want the Insanity dvds, but they’re a little out of my budget, so Jillian will have to do. I’ve also been doing some BodyRock workouts which are really hard! Since I don’t have equipment, i.e. sandbags, jump rope, etc., I have to search through her workouts to find ones with no equipment, which is a little tedious. But they are great workouts!
Definitely try this workout if you exercise at home, it’s hard!
Anyway, I’m still in the process of painting our cabin. I narrowed down some colors, but am still having a hard time deciding. Here are the colors I like:
I was thinking one accent wall in the living room with this:
Falling Leaves
Most of the house in this neutral color:
Plateau
Then maybe a wall or two in the bedroom with this:
Grasshopper Wing
That color looks a little grey, but it’s technically green.
Maybe use this color…maybe not? I haven’t bought any paint yet….I’m really indecisive.
Pepper Spice
I love them all!
Today I’m cleaning all the walls in the cabin so it’ll be quite the project. But first, a run to Home Depot. I’ve never spent so much time in Home Depot before…it’s actually kinda fun (never ever thought I’d say that).
Which colors do you like?
If you workout at home, what kind of workouts do you do? Where do you find your workouts?

I stick to Bodyrock and Jillian too. I also check out DVDs from the library to switch things up sometimes!

Thank you so much for sharing that workout. I need somethign I can do at home like that that doesn’t jump around TOO much (thin walls and floors in my apartment). I’m definitely trying this out!

That does look like quite the workout! I’m an at home work out’er as well. I have a lot of Beachbody workouts, they kick my butt, but they work!
