Cross-Fitting

admin · February 23, 2011 · 1 Comment

Today’s workout was inspired by a Cross-Fit from a couple days ago. The original Cross-Fit was this:

5 rounds for time:

  • Run 1/4 mile
  • 30 box jumps
  • 30 wall balls

This sounded like a great plan until I realized that that was a lot of box jumps! Since my legs were already sore from yesterday’s run, I decided to scale down to three rounds. 90 box jumps and wall balls were good enough!

The full set would have been a great workout if I wasn’t training for a marathon. I just don’t want to push my legs too hard right now since I sort of need them :).

After the Cross Fit inspired workout, I did a couple ab exercises.

  • Side Plank– 3 sets of 30 seconds each.
  • Bicycle Crunches– 3 sets of 15.
  • Low Ab Crunches- 3 sets of 10.

It was definitely a challenging workout even at three rounds! Those jumps become extremely exhausting. Definitely a calorie torching workout.

I hope you all had a great Tuesday. My friend got into town today so we had a great night tonight. It’s going to be a fun week! I feel like it’s already the weekend! ๐Ÿ™‚

I haven’t been there in a long long time! I think they definitely have more vendors on a weekend! I love the honey vendors!
